Skin Laser Treatments
Wrinkles, sun damage, rosacea, spider veins, unwanted hair, melasma, acne scars, and much more can be treated at our medical spa using a variety of skin laser treatments. These cosmetic laser treatments involve the use of IPL Laser, Fractional Laser and YAG. Each cosmetic laser treatment works at a different level to stimulate collagen production under the skin, giving you a more youthful appearance.
Our Fractional Laser is a highly specialized laser which targets collagen cells using micro beams of light. This state-of-the-art technology is effective in skin resurfacing and can treat: melasma, acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, sun damage, and skin discoloration. In just two sessions, you can expect to see results with minimal downtime.
The YAG Laser uses a coherent bundle of laser light that can reach the deep layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and repairing damaged collagen fibers which results in smoother, more youthful-looking skin. An increase in collagen production also improves the skin’s appearance by making large pores drastically smaller and tighter. YAG Laser also has the ability to reach deep blood vessels enabling the elimination of bluish veins and deep capillaries. YAG laser light can be safely used for any skin type and color.
Multi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF) delivers fast, pain-free, homogeneous heating to various depths under the skin. RF is a ground-breaking technology that causes contraction of existing collagen and, at the same time, stimulates new collagen fibers.
"My Confidence is back!
I was hesitant to try facial rejuvenation because I was not sure it would work for me. I was not very familiar with the current cosmetic procedures and was worried the cost would not produce the results that I wanted. I am so happy I decided to make a call to Dr. Aurora DeJuliis’ office. Dr. Aurora DeJuliis took her time during our consultation and made me feel completely comfortable. She recommended a series of laser treatments to help erase years of sun damage. I also began using her skin care products. My face has never looked better!!! I get compliments from my friends, co-workers, and especially my husband! My skin has a more youthful appearance and it has given me my confidence back!"
Frequently Asked Questions
Who Is A Candidate for Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments?
Anyone with sun damage, wrinkles, skin texture, and uneven skin tone is a great candidate for laser skin resurfacing. Because laser skin resurfacing allows for a smoother appearance of the skin, this treatment is perfect for people in overall good health who are seeking to improve the way their skin looks.
If you are prone to keloid scarring, have deep wrinkles or active acne, or are on prescribed medications such as Accutane, laser treatment may not be suitable for you at this time. It is also recommended that those who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant avoid laser treatment for the duration of their pregnancy.
How Long Will My Results Last?
The results from laser skin resurfacing last, on average, around three to five years. Your skin can continue to improve for up to 1 year following your first treatment. However, most patients prefer to schedule follow-up treatments in order to maintain their skin’s desired look. Typically, patients undergo three to four laser skin resurfacing treatments before achieving completely smooth, flawless, and even-toned skin.
How Long Will Recovery Take?
The duration of recovery from laser skin resurfacing treatment can vary from patient to patient, but on average, common side effects of this treatment, which are redness, swelling, and tenderness, should subside within one to two weeks. During this time, it’s recommended to avoid heavy makeup products, swimming, and being harsh to the skin when cleansing your face. After this period of time, new skin should begin to appear on the face, and after a full month, patients can begin to notice improved skin that will last them for the next several years!
What Are The Benefits of Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment?
Beyond simply eliminating the appearance of imperfections on the face, laser skin resurfacing leaves skin treatment up to professionals, allowing patients not to have to worry about skin maintenance at home. Not only does this save time and money, but the longer-lasting results of newly improved skin also leave patients feeling more comfortable in their skin than ever.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
laser technology (sometimes called Photofacial) can be used to diminish any aesthetically displeasing epidermal and dermal irregularities on the face, hands and body. Unsightly photo aging, melasma, rosacea, capillaries, hyperpigmentation, acne scars and wrinkles respond particularity well to this anti-aging service. IPL treatments are easy to tolerate and carry no associated downtime. It takes about four to six weeks after an IPL treatment for all of the new collagen to come to the surface of the skin. Your skin will look radiant, smoother and more youthful!
